The Value of Land and Water Conservation
Co-wrote Nature’s Dividends: The Economic, Health and Safety Benefits of Investing in Nature, a report commissioned by The Nature Conservancy, that compiles research from nearly 1,500 studies and articles. In addition, developed 50 state level fact sheets exploring how conservation is a cost-effective way to grow the economy, protect public safety and reduce healthcare costs locally.
Authored The Benefits of New Hampshire’s Open Space: The Value of Working Farms and Forests, Natural Lands, and Waters, a report demonstrating the benefits of open space to New Hampshire communities for the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. Contributors ranged from the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions and the New Hampshire Audubon Society to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association.
Created a toolkit of materials, including How Conserving Open Space Provides Economic Benefits to Massachusetts Communities, that anyone can download and use to educate, inform, and/or advocate for land conservation in their community for the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition.

Feasibility Studies
Conducted a feasibility study of creating a community land trust to support affordable housing in the region for the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and San Gabriel Valley Regional Housing Trust.
Evaluated the feasibility of the City of Kansas City, Missouri creating a community land trust to support affordable housing in the city.
Assessed the feasibility of creating a statewide integrated floodplain management program in Tennessee for The Nature Conservancy.

Designed the Land Trust Census questions and analyzed the data for the Connecticut Land Conservation Council.
Performed data analysis for the 2020 National Land Trust Census for the Land Trust Alliance.

Estimated the economic benefits of conserved lands in the Galveston Bay region for the Galveston Bay Foundation in the report The Economic Benefits of Conserved Lands in the Galveston Bay Region: Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, and Harris Counties, Texas.
